This notice applies to https://crateway.caand to the Crateway platform (“the Service”), operated by Crateway in Ontario, Canada.

Where a customer uses the Service to manage their own business, we act as a processor for the data they enter — their customer, supplier and delivery records. Those customers decide what is collected and how long it is kept; this notice describes our own handling.

• Enquiries. If you submit the contact form we receive your name, business name, email address, any phone number you provide, and your message. We also record the browser user agent and referring page with the submission.
• Server logs. Our hosting and API providers log requests, including IP address, for security and reliability purposes.

This website sets no advertising or analytics cookies, and we do not track you across other sites.

Accounts hold a name, email address, role and workspace membership. Client applications report their app version and platform so we can support them. Operational records — orders, deliveries, photographs and signatures captured as proof of delivery — belong to the customer whose workspace they were created in.

• To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote.
• To provide, secure and support the Service.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use enquiry details for unrelated marketing.

We use a small number of service providers, each handling data only to deliver their part of the Service: cloud hosting and databases, content delivery and object storage, email and SMS delivery, mapping and geocoding, and payment processing. Providers may process data outside Ontario, Canada, in which case we rely on their contractual safeguards.

Enquiries are retained while we are in contact and for a reasonable period afterwards for our business records. Customer workspace data is retained for the life of the account and deleted or returned on request after it closes, subject to any legal retention obligation.

You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within the time allowed by applicable law. If the data concerns a workspace operated by one of our customers, we will direct your request to them.

Access to production systems is restricted and credentialed, data is encrypted in transit, and secrets are held in a managed secret store. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your information we will notify you and the relevant authority as required.
